Today's Webtip: Audiotool
It's never been easier to make music. I know, I know, that's not news. But sometimes I still manage to feel amazed at just how easy things have become.
In the early nineties we used to have to run around collecting ancient bits of hardware that other people had discarded, and maybe manage to save up to afford one or two almost new bits. By the end of the nineties, almost all of the hardware we hadn't been able to afford was available as software. That was still a bit expensive.

Now, you just have to point your browser to a website and click and drag a few things to do the same thing we used to physically drag around.
Audiotool provides you with two drum machines, three synths, a 16 channel mixer, loads of loops and some other tools you might want to make things sound right. Of course, since this is the age of social networks, it also lets you share your works. You can choose to make them listen only, or you can open them up so others can play around with them. This is actually one of the coolest aspects of the app, since it lets lets you check out other setups and do a little learning by example.
Just don't make anything you might want to use for any political purpose. The folks behind the site don't like that idea at all...
