Today's Webtip: MacGyver guide
Angus MacGyver, international man of action, non-violent idealist, and master of duct tape, was an 80's action hero who did things a little bit differently. As a secret agent who refused to use a gun, he frequently found himself in situations that required some very serious ingenuity.

ABC
Since the end of the series, he has still maintained a place in the pop pantheon, and you could probably call him the patron saint of Makers and D.I.Y types all over the place. I mean, you have to respect a guy who can make a plane out of bamboo, duct tape, trash bags and a cement mixer.
The question is, just how feasible were his creative solutions? As much as I loved watching the show and willfully suspending my disbelief, a part of me really wanted to think that his creations were at least partially possible.
Which is why the MacGyver fact-check makes for a fun read. It's a quick run-down of some of the things he pulled off, and an examination of their likelihood of working. Fans of Myth busters will probably already know the answers, but for those of us who haven't followed the series regularly, it's nice to see their work summarized in a quick-read format.
