Today's Webtip: Cannonball

there is always a upside to the downside. Blame gravity.

California used to be the land of dreams. For actors, poodle-rockers, coders and people who go barefoot it represented the ultimate destination. A land of milk and honey and sun and oranges and angel-investors and the Hollywood Strip.

And perfect skating.

Now, as the economy has taken a downturn and the middle-class dream of a ranch-home and pool has become unaffordable, the only people left to benefit are the skaters. Because abandoned homes mean abandoned pools, and abandoned pools make excellent skating.

Cannonball is a short documentary about the skaters who take back the bowls.
