E-Learning, open source courseware, social education...
It seems like the massive educational potential of the internet is a revolution waiting to happen. Each year brings us a bit closer to some truly amazing developments, but for some reason the big-bang just doesn't want to come.
Until that time, we have to be satisfied with the islands of interactivity that do exist. Although the distributed development of course materials hasn't seemed to have caught on, the free distribution of materials has. E-learning resources have been opened up, lectures are being released as podcasts, and iTunesU has put some high quality lectures on computers and phones across the planet.
The TU Graz is one of the institutions that is bringing their education online. They have an Open Content Portal that lists and links their available projects. Projects which have been released using Creative Commons Licensing
