Today's Webtip: Moonwalk One

just the thing for space-geeks and retro-fetishists.

When I was growing up, there was really only ever one thing I wanted to be. An astronaut. The only thing nearly as cool as space and rockets and stuff were dinosaurs, but they didn't really offer anywhere near the career prospects that space exploration did. I mean, even as a child, I was pretty sure Tyrannosaurus Rex was not a viable job alternative.

So I read everything I could about NASA and the space program. Watched every TV show and documentary I could, and tried my best to prepare myself for a job in zero gravity.

Things didn't quite work out, and it turns out that going to the moon isn't really going to be in anyones stars right now.

But I'm still a space geek, and running across an 1,5 hour long documentary of the first moon landing was pretty cool. Footage I have never seen before, freaky music, faux hipsters, and references to Stonehenge made my day.

So I hope it might make yours as well.
