Today's Webtip: Hevisaurus

heavy metal dinosaurs. No, I don't mean Ozzy.

Kids music, and I say this as the father of two children, sucks.

Mostly.

The stuff that isn't a blatant marketing attack can be well meant but mind-numbingly dull texts written by that person who only owns kittens. The rest is poorly performed and mildly rewritten pop pap strung through a tape grinder. If you can't imagine what I might be referring to, count yourself as lucky.

There are of course more than enough talented musicians who make music that can be appreciated by all ages (the Beatles, Ramones, and Tanz Baby spring to mind) but sometimes it's better to let the kids rock out in there own world. It's certainly much easier than having to answer heavy questions at inappropriate moments.

So if you are in the market for some all ages entertainment, but can't stand the idea of letting blue beasties near you audio gear, then let me suggest Hevisaurus.

Leatherclad, dreadlock wearing Dinosaurs who rock. Well, they don't rock like some rock, but they rock like a rolling stone squishing mushroom houses, and that will do just fine for me...

OK. So it sounds like some bad 80's hair metal. I'm sorry. But what do you want? They're frikken dinosaurs, and dinosaurs rock. And yes, I know that David Lee Roth is also a dinosaur who has been reported to rock on occasion, but he doesn't count.
