Today's Webtip: Study Hacks

a collection of hints and tips on how to get your grade on.

I wish I would have taken typing while I was in middle school. Typing ended up being one of the few skills that were being taught for grades that I actually could have used later on in life.

Woodworking is something I have never needed, and being able to rebuild a carburetor has been less than relevant since I made the break for Europe. Typing, on the other hand, is something I do every single day.

There is another class I wish I would have taken. How to Study. Actually, it's a class I wish they would have offered. Note Taking 101 would have been cool too.

Maybe things have changed, and these skills are being built into the system now. I don't know.

I do know that my kids aren't learning these things in class, and that I need to finally master them for my own education. I also know that a simple search for "how to study" is going to give you some terrible results.

One site that does offer some useful insights into the study process is Study Hacks. It's sort of a student version of 43 Folders, but with an after taste of self-help sites that want to make you a millionaire. And that makes it worlds better than most of the other sites I have found so far.

Really, there is some fabulous material here, whether you need to learn how to take notes, get organized, or kill that procrastination.

That said, I gotta go. I have some studying to do...
