Most films that do the festival ciruit are nearly impossible to see anywhere else. Copyright, exclusivity deals and distribution contracts can make some of them practically invisible to anyone who doesn't live near a festival location.

So when I saw that Rip: A Remix Manifesto was going to be shown at the Viennale I just had to know if there was any other way to see the film. Fortunately, the normal rules don't seem to apply to this movie about copyright and remix culture. Which means those of us unable to get into the Gartenbaukino this afternoon don't need to despair, we can just view it online.
Not just view it, but remix it, mash it up, and do something completely different with it.
Opensource Cinema is hosting the film for international viewers, and providing a platform for anyone who wants to get ahold of the footage to work on it themselves.
You can watch the film or you can take part in working on Rip: A Remix Manifesto 2.0
I guess that only makes sense now doesn't it.
