Today's Webtip: Riding the Wave

Someone else's first look at Google Wave. Let the begging begin!

Some of you might remember when Gmail was first opened up. It spent ages in an invitation only mode, and we actually exchanged a few on the page and in the comments.

For those of you who missed out on the fun, well, now's your chance. Google Wave has opened up to a first run of 100,000 people who should have been getting their initial invitations yesterday and today. They, in turn, also have 8 invitations they can choose to share with other friends family and complete and utter (but fabulous) radio professionals.

Google

In the mean time, the rest of us will be able to read all sorts of reviews by other people who DID receive invitations as they try to explain what it is and make the rest of us feel massively inferior.

The first I have read is from Gina Trapani over at Lifehacker. It's just the thing for those of you who need to try to pretend to understand what this is all about, and it's salt in the wounds of those of us who are trying to get a chance to figure it out for ourselves.

Fun, fun, fun!!!

And don't forget the podcast. (I KNOW they call this shameless self promotion)
