Today's Webtip: Brilliant Books
Yes, I know it's banned book week.
Same shit different year, and other than the realization that people in the U.S. really seem to like trying to tell other people what they can and cannot read, there hasn't been a whole lot to learn from it this year.
So, rather than playing the middle-aged angry young man, I will play Mr. Psycho-happy Optimist and focus on some books that have done good. Or rather, I will focus on a brilliant bit of radio focusing on the books that have changed other peoples lives.

Penguin Books
Ira Glass on This American Life has put together a lovely little show about the power of Books. Originally aired in 1999, it was broadcast again this year, and is available online for your listening enjoyment.
Alexa Junge, David Sedaris, Jeremy Goldstein, and Meghan Daum talk about the books that changed their lives.
And we can talk about the same thing here.
Anyone ever heard of the Tao of Pooh?
And don't forget the podcast. (I think they call this shameless self promotion)
