Today's Webtip: Sagan Sings

Or how to use Autotune for the betterment of humanity.

Carl Sagan was the coolest thing to happen to pop science since sliced bread. Cosmos was a brilliant bit of media that managed to get a couple of generations excited about things very big and very very small alike.

Autotune on the other hand....

Autotune has brought us some of the most irrelevant pop music since the mouse started singing, and there are quite a few careers out there that shouldn't wouldn't and couldn't have made a dime without it's terrible efficiency.

Yes, I think I could claim to hate it almost as much as I love Mr. Sagan.

That said, an autotuned track featuring Carl Sagan may have more than made up for it's past (although not future) sins. Well, one or two of them at least.

And for those who like it audible, the webtip is now available as a podcast. You'll still have to come here to get the links, but that's okay right?
