Today's webtip: DIY Juggleables
The nice thing about juggling is you don't really need any special gear. You CAN get some if you are really bent on spending cash, but once you have the skills there isn't anything other than the law of physics and your own physique keeping you from trying to juggle just about anything.
Of course, there are one or two qualities that make some objects better to learn juggling with than others. They should fit well in your hand, have enough weight to make for a solid thud and you dont want them to roll about alot, because at the beginning they will be spending most of their time on the ground.
Fortunately, it's really easy to make a couple of objects that work just spiffy.
My favorite right now are called Russian Balls. Hollow spheres filled with between 50-90g of stuff that keeps them from roling about. I got some helpers together and we made a mess of them last night:

You can find some easy to follow instructions at the Internet Juggling Database.
For those who like em soft and squishy, you might want to try the ones at kiddly.

And finally, if you are well beyond the kidstuff and what to go for the clubs. Why not make them green?
