Today's webtip: "enhanced interrogation" isn't.

An ex interrogator takes Cheney to task.

Dick Cheney has certainly made his presence known in the U.S. media recently. Rather amazing considering just how little we heard from the man while he was actually in office. His recent collection of appearances defending the use of "Enhanced Interrogation Techniques" has been referred to by some cheeky bloggers as the "Cheney World Torture Tour".

I wish I could laugh at that.

Once response that is rather interesting comes from an ex-interrogator. Matthew Alexander was the leader of the task force who tracked down Al Qaeda-in-Iraq leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. Something he did without the use of things like waterboarding. In a video produced by the Brave New Foundation (yes they have an agenda) he takes issue with Mr. Cheney's claim that 100's of Thousands of lives were saved by the use of techniques the U.S. no longer defines as torture.

I guess the guy is also selling a book about the whole thing, so this is probably a promotional video. Which makes everything much more interesting. Viable commercial interests are much more likely to get airtime.
