Today's webtip: The Wildcard
It's been a while since I have been to an event that was as much fun as the Austrian Beatbox Championships. Aside from getting to meet Fii, I also got to see some fabulous performers and get caught up in some audience enthusiasm that was incredibly refreshing. I spent weeks afterwards making silly noises when I thought no one was looking.
In other words, I'm a beatbox fan. Enough of one to follow a link to what promised to be a cool video application for the Wildcard slot at the Beatbox Battle World Championships.
It delivered. Julia Dales audition is fun to watch. She's cool, so cool it looks like she might nod off in the middle of her performance, something I haven't seen since I lost my drummer in the 90's. The difference is that she stays concious and ends up taking home the prize.
