Grand Archives aus Seattle waren im FM4 Connected Studio und haben eine kleine Session gespielt. Mit Video!

Aus der Abteilung "bärtige Männer in Holzfällerhemden bezaubern mit zarten Stimmen und eingängigen Indiesongs" besuchen uns heute die wunderbaren Grand Archives zu einer exklusiven Akustik Session.

Mat Brooke (Gitarrist der Band of Horses), Jeff Montano, Curtis Hall, Ron Lewis, und Thomas Wright, die fünf Musiker aus Seattle lassen sich nur dezent vom notorisch schlechten Wetter ihrer Heimatstadt runterziehen. Wohl ist eine leichte Melancholie in ihrer Musik nicht zu leugnen (wie in den Songs "Torn Blue Foam Couch" oder "George Kaminski") bevors aber zu traurig wird greifen Grand Archives schon mal tief in die Beachboys Kiste (wie im Song "Miniature Birds") und pfeifen sich eins. Sixties-Sound mit Countryeinflüssen instrumentiert mit einer vielzahl unterschiedlicher Instrumente von pedal steel Gitarre und Posaune bis Flügelhorn, Violine und Cello.
