Today's webtip: Sixties Superheroes

I think my spider Sense is tingling.

One of the greatest animated series ever to be created was the 1967 Spiderman show. The animation wasn't that great and the stories sort of sucked but it had what has to be the most iconic cartoon themesong ever. I might even go so far as to say that it was better than the themesong to the ultra-camp Batman live action series from the same period.

Of course, I grew up with the Batman series but only discovered the Spider man show in 1977 at a hotel in Florida. After the Kennedy Space Center it was probably the best thing about my stay in that state.

And now Marvel has been kind enough to start streaming the series on their homepage. No location block or other nastiness, just classic toonage with a new episode being released every Thursday.

Yay.

And for anyone who might be doubting on the themesong, you really need to hear the Ramones cover of it. Google is your friend.
