Today's webtip: Social Networking
The times they are a changin...
As we watch our money blowin away like so much dust in the wind, some folks are starting to get a bit more radical in their thinking. European Socialists have started contemplating un-privatising (because nationalising just sounds too extreme) some industries, and people in the States have started to take their Social Networking to whole new levels.
Like starting communes.

Communes never really died off, and their are a handful in the SF area that actually went on to become capital heavy business entities, but for most people the word commune brings to mind hazy images of barefoot folk and lentils.
Wannastartacommune.com has taken it upon themselves to moderinze the idea of the commune. It looks like they might actually be planning to provide digital networking tools as well as the paper support you can get from them at this time.
To be honest, there really isn't a lot to see there yet, but I like the ideas they are putting forward, and maybe some local types might want to use it as an impulse to kickstart an Austrian flavored version of the fun.
The idea of using Social Networking for Social Good really does tickle my fancy. What abuot yours?
