Today's webtip: Derevo Detstva
Children's stories are back in the blogs. Ever since The Arcade Fire managed to click so well with Spike Jonez and a bunch of folks in Floppy Suits the net has been abuzz with anticipation over the upcoming release of "Where the Wild Things Are". Milions of ex-kids are discovering what it might have been like to be read to when they were small.

But for those of us who still count telling goodnight stories as part of their daily job, the magic of a well written (or told) children's tale has never faded, and the joy of sharing becomes one of those things that gets you through the day. Even if finding the story worth sharing is enough to make you tear your hair out.
So every well written or well drawn story is something worth savoring, and in the case of Derevo Detstva I can only assume it is both. Since my Russian is more than rusty and I haven't had a lot of luck tracking down much information about this particular story, I will just have to tell you what little I do know and then let you at it.
It makes a fine animation.
