This whole little financial disaster we have been witnessing has been a bit difficult for many people to comprehend. Goodness knows my mind starts to wander as soon as I start reading about the various things those crazy financial types have gotten up to.
And according to Matt Taibi at Rolling Stone, that was the idea. In his article about the mess he comes to the conclusion that what we are witnessing is no less than the final stages of Wallstreets takeover of the world. It's no secret that ignorant people are easier to manipulate and control, and when it comes to the world of High Finance, we could all use a little bit of schooling.
Sound hefty? It is, but the article is worth reading for it's concise explanation of the events leading up to the current battle between AIG and the US Goverment.
