Today's Webtip: 5 second films

5secondfilms.com
After years of being overcome with epic ideas that never went anywhere, I have finally started to realize that the most important step in any great thing is to actually get it out there. I know this is probably elementary to most of you, but it honestly took me decades to figure it out.
A quick poorly implemented creative project is 1000 times better than the most elablorately planned but never realized masterpiece. The strangest thing is that the better ideas usually end up with a life of ther own, and eventually grow to the level of completion and complexity they deserve.
For me, planning and attention to detail are some of the greatest forms of procrastination.
That's why I like things and projects that focus on the actual creation of stuff. All of those silly 365 day projects, or month of whatever thingies...
And now, for the impatient filmmakers amongst you, the 5 second film. Or, to be more specific, 5secondfilms.com It's a collection of just what the name says. Really short films with some lovely ideas that are teriibly short, highly unpolished, and surprisingly effective in the chuckle department.
Dont just watch the films though. You really should read the about page. It's one of those little extras taht can really improve the enjoyment of the site. That's important since, as you might expect from a project of this nature, the ide is at times much greater than the result.
