Today's webtip: Watch This
Bing a kid in the States meant getting up on Saturday morning and turning on the TV to watch hours and hours of Bad Animation.
By the time the 80's rolled around, Saturday morning cartoons had morphed into a mega-business of it's own, generating massive capital by showing programming that was usually heavily tied in with sugary breakfast cereals and toys. Everything was a commercial.
The animations were cheaply made, with formulaic plots and ridiculous casting, and they managed to mangle more than a handful of hot Comic Book properties.

So what could be more appropriate than imagining the Watchmen as an 80's Saturday morning cartoon? Although it's packaged as a parody, this bit actually manages to capture the absurdity of these weekend serials. Yes, once again, context is king.
