Today's Webtip: Chickensaurus

a man and his quest for a pet dinosaur.

I love the idea that birds are just tiny feathered dinosaurs. It's one of those ideas that just makes me happy.

One of the people who has done quite a bit to make that idea more than just the silly thoughts of a wishful 10 year old is paleontologist Jack Horner. A man with an interesting career, including a stint doing consultancy for the film Jurassic Park.

A man who has managed to help strengthen the arguments in support of more than a few crazy ideas. But his most current crazy idea is probably the best. He wants to make a living dinosaur. Not by finding working DNA in some fossil, but by taking the chicken out of the chicken, and whittling it' DNA down to the basic dinosaur.
