Today's Webtip: Post Punk Kitchen

you don't have to go cold turkey to enjoy vegan cooking.

One way to help solve some of the problems we face due to industrial animal farming is to eat less meat and animal products. Sounds easy doesn't it?

But I know that it's not. For people used to most traditional kitchens, the heavy reliance on animal products makes it difficult to find tasty, healthy and interesting alternatives. Being willing to take a look over the culinary fence is one way to expand your possibillities. The national cuisine of many countries can be much less animal intensive than the local ones.

But you could also get a bit more adventerous. You don't have to be vegetarian or vegan to enjoy their recipes. I know that should be obvious too, but when it comes to daily meal preparation, most people tend to fall back on foods they are most familiar with.

As a serious food voyeur and ex-vegetarian, one of my favorite recipe resources is Post Punk Kitchen. Yes, I think it was a webtip a while ago. They had a rather entertaining video podcast, a blog, and a lovely collection of recipes.

It's fun to read too.

The only problem with the site is that some of the recipes might not be too Austrian friendly. Unless you happen to know a secret source of poblano chilis. If you do, please let me know.
