Today's Webtip: Exit Path

Sometimes there's nothing else to do but jump n run.

Time to talk about flash again. But don't worry, I come here not to flame flash, but to praise an excellent example of some of the things it does best. Smooth vector animation in a really nice game.

In Exit Path you play one of the nameless masses trying to reach freedom at the end of a stadium survival challenge. You have to maneuver through an obstacle course filled with things that could kill you. In other words, it's a side-scrolling jump n run.

Of course, the fun doesn't stop there. Exit Path also offers a multiplayer player mode where you compete against other's who are online. This is the first networked side runner I have ever played, and it's a bit confusing at first. I had a hard time telling my figure from the others, which left me a mess of bits more times than I care to count. It's still fun though.

The graphics are fun and the whole thing is a bit of eye candy, even the menus had me applauding.

So if you have been looking for another way to waste some time (and who doesn't need another excuses to be less productive?) then this might be just the thing for you.

Now I'm going to go see what it does to my Android phone...
