Joel Edgerton – that´s a name to notice, if you haven´t. Next chance is watching the Crime-Thriller “Black Mass” who will be released in our cinemas on Friday. Australian Actor Edgerton performs a brilliant part as the corrupted FBI-agent John Connolly, who covers in the true story the infamous Boston – mobster Whitey Bulger, played by Johnny Depp. 41 year old Joel Edgerton is not only a stunning character actor, what he already proved by the way in films “Star Wars”, “The Great Gatsby” or “Zero dark Thirty” – Joel Edgerton wrote, directed and produced the 2015 well received psychological thriller “The Gift”. German film journalist Thomas Abeltshauser met Joel Edgerton at the “Black Mass”-Premiere at the Venice Filmfestival. He asked the Australian Edgerton , how he could managed to create such a complex delightful character from the 70ies having an Irish-American accent and a blue collar-background.

Fraktus - Vorschau auf das neue Album "Welcome to the Internet"
Die Sugarman-Story Deutschlands: Fraktus gelten als die wahren Erfinder der modernen deutschen Popmusik. Doch ihre Karriere war vermurxt und endete im Chaos. Erst die Musik-Doku "Fraktus - Das letzte Kapitel der Musikgeschichte" aus dem Jahr 2012 verhalf dem Trio aus Brunsbüttel zu einem sensationellen Comeback. Dabei weiß man bis heute nicht, ob es die Band tatsächlich gibt, oder nicht. So oder so erscheint Ende November das neue Fraktus-Album "Welcome to the Internet". Christian Lehner hat die drei Pop-Pioniere in Berlin zum Vorabinterview getroffen, oder nicht.

FM4 Acoustic Sessions mit AVEC
Die allerzartesten Töne schlägt die junge oberösterreichische Singer-Songwriterin und Musikerin AVEC in ihrer Ballade „Granny“ an, die seit einigen Wochen bei uns hier auf FM4 auf heavy rotation läuft. Heute Nachmittag kommt AVEC mit ihrer Band zu einer FM4 Acoustic Session und zu ihrem allerersten Radiointerview bei uns im Studio vorbei.

FM4 Artist of the Week: Bob Moses
Es war einmal ein New Yorker Stadtplaner und Architekt namens Robert Moses, der hat unter anderem den Brooklyn-Queens-Expressway mitentworfen. An dem führte für die beiden Musiker Jimmy Vallance und Tom Howie kein Weg vorbei, wenn sie täglich zu ihrem gemeinsamen Studio pilgerten. Ein Bandname für ihr gemeinsames Musikprojekt war also schnell gefunden. Als Bob Moses machen die beiden nun Musik für den Dancefloor und legen nach einer Singles-Collection mit „Days Gone By“ nun ihr Debütalbum vor. Der Song zentrierte, zarte Techno-Pop-Sound der beiden verdient das Prädikat: FM4 Artist Of The Week. Susi Ondrusova mit einer Listening Session zum Bob Moses Debütalbum.

Willkommen zum mittwöchigen Streifzug durch die Welt der schweren Riffs und grollenden Bässe, metallischen Sounds und düsteren Elektronik. Gleich in der ersten Stunde stellen Fuchs und Nachtstrom das neue Album der Wiener Alternativerocker Lausch vor. „Glass Bones“ beamt den messerscharfen 90er-Sound von Bands wie Helmet oder Therapy? auf lässige Weise in die Gegenwart. Mastermind Alexander Lausch wird als Studiogast über die Aufnahmen zum Album und seine ambitionierten Pläne plaudern. David Pfister ist danach mit dem zweiten Teil seines Doors-Geschichtsunterrichts dran. Grund ist die Wiederveröffentlichung der Doors-Alben „Other Voices“ aus dem Jahr 1971 und „Full Circle“ aus dem Jahr 1972. Die Platten nach dem Tod von Jim Morrison wurden von den verbliebenen drei Bandmitgliedern aufgenommen und waren kommerziell nicht erfolgreich. Deshalb wurden diese Werke nur widerspenstig über die Jahre verwaltet. Nun sind sie endlich wieder unkompliziert erhältlich. Außerdem hat David Pfister auch noch die historische Doors-Compilation „The Many Faces Of The Doors“ dabei. Weitere Programmpunkte: Eine punkrockige Basementshow mit Rainer Springenschmid und das tonnenschwere neue Meisterwerk der Gothic-Doom-Göttin Chelsea Wolfe.
