Close Up: "She’s funny that way/Broadway Therapy"
A film produced by directors Noah Baumbach and Wes Anderson as well as starring Owen Wilson sounds like a promising combination. “Broadway Therapy” or “She’s funny that way” is a screwball-comedy by Peter Bogdanovich (director of Hollywood classics such as the comedy “What’s up, Doc” with Barbara Streisand or the coming-of-age drama “The Last Picture Show”). Bogdanovich’s last directing effort goes back more than 10 years. His latest effort “She’s funny that way” was presented last year at the Venice Film Festival and has now finally found its way to Austrian cinemas this week. "Broadway Therapy" features Imogen Poots as an escort girl turned starlet who tells her rise-to-fame story in flashbacks. (Erika Koriska)
