Umwelt: Sonnensteuer
Eine angeblich neue Abgabe mit dem wunderlichen Namen "Sonnensteuer" sorgte für einen Aufschrei in der österreichischen Energieszene. Wer mehr als 5.000 Kilowattstunden Solarstrom im Jahr produziert und damit seine eigenen Geräte betreibt, muss einen Betrag von 1,5 Cent pro Kilowattstunde abführen. Mit mindestens 75 Euro im Jahr wäre die Abgabe fast so hoch wie die jährlichen Kosten je Haushalt für die Förderung von Ökostrom. Aurora Orso hat mit dem Autor Roger Hackstock gesprochen und ihn zur Sonnensteuer und seinem neuen Buch "Energiewende - die Revolution hat schon begonnen" befragt. Worum genau geht es denn nun bei der Sonnensteuer und ist dies wirklich ein neuer Beschluss?

Kreisky spielen am Abend in der Postgarage Graz ein FM4 Überraschungskonzert und werden dabei wohl auch das ein oder andere neue Stück aus ihrem neuen Album Blick auf die Alpen präsentieren. Arthur Einöder hat die Band beim Soundcheck zum Interview getroffen.

IT&Games: 3D Drucker quo vadis
"Print3DFuture" heißt eine Tagung in Wien zum Thema 3D-Druck. Die ehemals futuristischen Drucker sind längst Realität und mittlerweile auch einigermaßen erschwinglich, darüber hinaus gibt es auch schon unterschiedliche Herstellungsmaterialien. Anna Masoner sieht sich für FM4 nach 3D-Druck-Innovationen um.

Grüner Hase bringt Paradies
Aus einem alten CD-Ständer wird flux ein Zuhause für Kräuter und ausrangierte Autoreifen beherbergen Veilchen. Wenn die BetreiberInnen von Green Rabbit die Gartenhandschuhe anziehen, wird aus jedem öden Balkönchen ein kleines Paradies. Im Jugendzimmer erzählen die jungen GärtnerInnen Jedida und Katharina über ihr Start-Up-Unternehmen und ihre Liebe zu allem, was wächst. Sie haben sich zum Ziel gemacht, Gartenkultur und das Wissen über Pflanzen einem möglichst breiten Publikum zugänglich zu machen; zum Beispiel über Pflanzenabos oder die "Easygardens".

Slack Hippy has, this month around, completely taken over the studio. He has thrown away the trusty termine calender and locked the editors up in a dark and dusty cupboard. He has complete control of the Studio for the next hour and during this one hour he will be selecting & playing some tasty chunks of music that he has been picking up over the last month.
Everything goes from Disco to Detroit to Breaks and the Old School. Stay Tuned and if you behave he might just let all the other La Boum de Luxers out for next weeks show.

Woodcut in the mix
Musical socialization is a process that can go on your whole life. In their short existence since 2012, Woodcut changed their output from time to time, mainly because the music they discovered and rediscovered in that time made them see that it is not about one genre alone or imitating succesful production schemes. For them it is a continuous learning and growing experience. This duo from Austria prefers variation over monotony and they like to go with their gut feeling whether they dj in a club or produce music at home. The fact that Daniel is living in Graz and Markus in Vienna let's them see things in a different perspective, yet they manage to work together like a well oiled machine. Being close friends since 2011 probably helps aswell. Woodcut had two digital releases on Deep Edition (UK) including remixes from Irish prodigy Brame and Greek Techno/House producer Kindimmer. A joint track with edit-maestro Moony Me from Graz is due for a release on Apparel Music in summer 2014.

Evren da Conceição creates performances, media art and conceptual artworks. By applying abstraction, she tries to develop forms that do not follow logical criteria, but are based only on subjective associations and formal parallels, which incite the viewer to make new personal associations. With a focus on the performance & conceptual art she tries constantly exploring the intersections between performance art and different fields such as media art, sound/music, philosophy and visual arts. She defines herself as "nomad" both artistically and geographically. Evren* started her career as an actress/performer in theater, television and cinema in Istanbul. In 2003 she moved to Vienna where she studies Theater, Film and Media studies and started to work interdisciplinary. Evren is one of the founder members and the artistic director of RhizomArt and a passionately vinyl collector. Her performances are based on formal associations, which open a unique poetic vein. Multilayered images arise in which the fragility and instability of our seemingly certain reality is questioned.
