Neues deutsches Alphabet
Wie man etwas schreibt und wie man etwas ausspricht, das sind häufig zwei Paar Schuhe. Damit müssen sich nicht nur Schulkinder herumplagen, sondern auch Migranten, die Deutsch lernen. Goran Novakovic hat deswegen eine "Umschrift" entwickelt, mit deren Hilfe türkisch- oder serbokroatisch-Sprachige ganz einfach deutsch lesen und richtig aussprechen können. Der "Wiener Schmäh" wird zum "Viner Şme", aus gebrochenem Deutsch wird "Hohdojc". Mehr über das Projekt, "Neues deutsches Alphabet" in Connected.
"Number 9 Dream" von David Mitchell
Zehn Jahre nach der Veröffentlichung von "number9dream" erschien dieser Japan-Roman des Briten David Mitchell kürzlich nun auch in deutscher Übersetzung, von Volker Oldenburg. Mitchell erzählt von einem 19jährigen Japaner namens Eija Miyake, der aus der Provinz nach Tokio kommt, um seinen Vater zu suchen. Cyberpunk meets James Joyce, Jahre vor Fukushima. (Eva Umbauer)
