Zum "größten couleurstudentischen Gesellschaftsereignis", dem Ball des Wiener Korporationsrings versammelt sich nächste Woche wieder die Creme de la Creme der österreichischen und europäischen Rechten in der Wiener Hofburg.

Die geplante Gegendemo wurde in letzter Minute untersagt - Irmi Wutscher mit Reaktionen von OrganisatorInnen und der Polizei.

Simon Welebil versucht im Gespräch mit einem Burschenschafter und dem DÖW herauszufinden, warum jemand Mitglied bei einer Burschenschaft ist, was Burschenschaften machen und welche Ideologie hinter Burschenschaften steckt.

Bundesheer quo vadis?

Claus Pirschner diskutiert mit den drei (ehemaligen) Präsenzdienern Christian, Bernhard und Georg sowie mit HörerInnen über ihre Eindrücke vom Heer und die Zukunft der österreichischen Armee. Soll es ein freiwilliges Berufsheer werden oder soll an der allgemeinen Wehrpflicht festgehalten werden? Wieviel Sinn macht für einen jungen Menschen der verpflichtende Dienst an der Waffe? Christian, der seinen Präsenzdienst noch ableistet, ist eher gegen die allgemeine Wehrpflicht, weil sie junge Männer in ihrer Ausbildungsphase einschränke. Außerdem findet Christian beim Heer schlecht, dass Leute klein gemacht werden. Bernhard hat nach zwei Jahren „Bundesheerkarriere“ als Grundwehrdiener, im Auslandseinsatz, als Offiziersanwärter und zum Schluss drei Monate als Ausbildner letzten Oktober abgerüstet. Georg hat beim Präsenzdienst „auch einige coole Sachen gelernt“, der Präsenzdienst sei ein großer Schritt in Richtung Selbständigkeit. Zurzeit macht er einen freiwilligen Sozialdienst beim Samariterbund und aufgrund seiner Erfahrungen dabei, würde er sich mittlerweile nicht mehr für den Präsenz- sondern für den Zivildienst entscheiden.
