"The New World Disorder" is something that disturbs Tariq Ali – left-wing writer, film-maker and intellectual. Tariq Ali was born in pre-partitioned Pakistan. Educated at Oxford he joined anti-war movements and made a career of criticising what he calls "United States imperialism" - especially in the Middle East. But he's critical too of leaders from the Moslem world, along with extremism in all its forms. Kerry Skyring caught up with Tariq Ali in Vienna for a talk about the disorder of the world we live in - from the disarray of left-wing politics to the dangerous developments in Pakistan to the changing role of the United States and Latin America.
