One of the recent sites to profit from the hype around SXSW was gotryiton.com.
It's a site that allows you to post photos of outfits you are considering and get feedback on them. Although it's an idea that might not be all that innovative (weardrobe.com lets you post your streetstyle, and features the tastier togs) it has one thing I haven't seen very often: Generally helpful, polite, and informative comments.
Yes, a site asking individuals to share their uncertainty actually seems to have been able to avoid the scourge of the internet. After reading many comment threads I didn't manage to find any posters displaying trollish or überjerk behavior.
So if you need some help with that important fashion decision, check it out. If however you are like me and tend to ignore good fashion advice but are fascinated by collective online activity, you still might want to check it out. A trollfree comment site is a rare beast indeed...
