Reality Check (12-13)
with Hal Rock
Turkey Today
Turkey is preparing itself for a general election and this is a very interesting time in the politics of the nation. Recep Tayyip Erdogan was voted in as president in 2014, having served as prime minister since 2003. Now his party (the AKP) is set for a major test as people are being asked to decide upon the future direction of the country. If the AKP were to win a majority, what changes would they like to make to the constitution? How much is religion coming into the political debate, what about the Kurdish peace process and where do talks stand on Turkey as a future EU member? And what’s the conversation amongst the Turkish Community in Austria about where the country currently stands politically?

Musik: FFS
Musik: Julian Casablancas
